Welcome to the James W. Franklin Scholarship website.  The Scholarship was founded in October, 2004, in memory of Jim Franklin, who died of Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. 

Growing up, Jim attended Canton High School and was active on the swim team.

In Jim's memory, the scholarship is available to any graduating senior in the Plymouth-Canton Community School system who has been accepted into a 2- or 4-year institute of higher education, who has also participated in their high school swim team.

The deadline for each year's application is March 1. 

In 2008, the dollar amount of the scholarship increased from a one time payment of $1,000.00, to a one-time payment of $1,500.00, and is not renewable.  Please use the links on the left to download an application, and to find out more about Jim Franklin and the people who carry on his memory through this scholarship.
